I recently had the incredible opportunity to attend and pitch at the Clover × Shark Tank Summit, an unforgettable event hosted by Fiserv and Clover that brought together more than 300 entrepreneurs from across the country — each one building something innovative, purpose-driven, and full of heart.
The two-day summit was electric. The energy in the room was unmatched as founders shared stories of persistence, growth, and grit. Throughout the event, we heard from powerhouse speakers like Mark Cuban, Daniel Lubetzky, Robert Herjavec, Barbara Corcoran, and the founders of Poppi, Bombas, and so many more. The wisdom gleaned was incredible — practical advice mixed with a contagious belief that small businesses truly are the heartbeat of the economy.
Out of the hundreds of entrepreneurs there, I was chosen as one of three finalists to pitch live on stage to Kevin O’Leary, Daymond John, and Tabitha Brown — an honor I will never forget. Each of the three finalists received $35,000 toward our businesses, a generous gift that will make a meaningful impact for Mended as we continue to grow and expand our mission.
On the night of the live pitch event, the room was filled with all 300 entrepreneurs plus more than 4,000 attendees from the larger Fiserv conference — an audience that represented innovation, business, and impact at every level. Standing on that stage, sharing Mended’s story of restoration and beauty, and seeing thousands of people respond with encouragement and excitement was an unforgettable moment.
The entire experience was more than just a pitch — it was a reminder that businesses with purpose belong on the big stage. I left inspired, grateful, and ready to continue telling the story of Mended and our incredible survivor artisans to the world.
